Buy at the official ticket office off the Siem Reap highway or online, carry the photo-printed pass everywhere, and note that passes issued after 17:00 let you in for sunset without burning a day. First-timers doing the classic sunrise-at-Angkor-Wat plus Bayon and Ta Prohm circuit should take the 1-day pass; temple devotees adding Banteay Srei and Koh Ker should take the 3-day.
