FITUR 2027 runs from Wednesday 20 to Sunday 24 January 2027 at IFEMA MADRID, but only the first three days are for trade professionals: on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 January the fair opens to the general public as well. FITUR, the International Tourism Trade Fair, is organised by IFEMA MADRID, which describes it as the leading trade fair for inbound and outbound international markets.
The 47th edition adds two halls, filling Halls 1 to 10 and Hall 12, with Puerto Rico as partner country. It is built for tour operators, travel agencies, destinations, tourism companies and public-sector tourism officials, and at the weekend the same stands court holidaymakers.
Who exhibits at FITUR and who attends?
The 2026 edition, held from 21 to 25 January, closed with slightly more than 255,000 attendees over five days, according to IFEMA MADRID: 155,000 visitors on the professional days, when international attendance rose 12%, and 100,000 members of the public at the weekend. More than 10,000 companies from 161 countries took part, 111 of those countries with official representation, alongside 967 main exhibitors.
IFEMA's visitor profile lists tour operators, travel agencies, tourism professionals across the industry and public-sector tourism representatives; exhibitors range from state, regional and local tourism authorities to private companies. The 2026 fair drew more than 70 institutional visits by regional presidents, ministers and deputy ministers of tourism, and the partner slot has gone to the Americas two years running: Mexico in 2026, Puerto Rico in 2027.
FITUR's specialist sections
Alongside the destination halls, FITUR runs themed areas with their own programmes: FITUR 4all (accessible tourism), Cruises, Experience (experiential tourism, launched in 2026), Know-How & Export, LGBT+, Lingua (language tourism), Screen, Sports, Talent, TechY (technology) and Woman, plus the FiturNext Observatory for good practice. There is no dedicated health or wellness section in the current line-up. FITUR Cruises, run with Cruceroadicto, moves to a larger space in Hall 4 for its sixth edition.
How to attend FITUR 2027
Professionals register and pay on IFEMA's Passes and tickets page. Registration is personal: each person needs their own IFEMA MADRID account, and one email address cannot hold several accreditations. Current professional prices:
| Pass | Promotional (to 31 December) | Regular | Box office |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1-day professional pass | €15 | €30 | €40 |
| Permanent professional pass (every day) | €30 | €60 | €80 |
Exhibitors issue invitation codes from IFEMA's Expo Zone, redeemed during registration, so ask your partners before paying. Anyone over 16 must register and pay; minors may attend professional days but IFEMA does not recommend it. Registered professionals receive Renfe and Iberia discount vouchers in their confirmation email. Visitors who need a visa support letter request it from IFEMA customer service; exhibitors generate theirs in Expo Zone.
Is it open to the public? Yes, at the weekend only. Wednesday 20 to Friday 22 January are reserved for accredited professionals; on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 January the halls open to the general public as well. Public weekend prices were not yet listed on 25 October 2026.
Hosted buyers and media. As of 25 October 2026, the FITUR website published no open hosted-buyer application. Business meetings are arranged through IFEMA's LIVEConnect platform, and some specialist sections, such as FITUR LGBT+, run their own B2B meeting programmes. Press accreditation for 2027 was closed on 25 October 2026 and reopens a few weeks before the fair; journalists need a press card, a recent signed article or a letter from their outlet, and content creators must meet IFEMA's channel-age and follower thresholds.
Networking at FITUR: LIVEConnect and the Knowledge Hub
LIVEConnect is open to exhibitors, registered professional visitors and media. Once you hold a professional pass, IFEMA emails login instructions when the digital event opens. You can then browse the exhibitor and product catalogue, get contact recommendations matched to your profile, chat, and schedule face-to-face or video meetings. Exhibitors with networking activated can see active visitors and request contact, visitors can contact exhibitors, and both sides can download their contacts and notes after the fair.
The conference programme runs in the Knowledge Hub, which in 2026 had eight auditoriums, ten conference programmes, more than 200 sessions and over 250 speakers. IFEMA lists the 2027 activities programme as coming soon.
- Schedule commercial meetings for Wednesday to Friday. At the weekend the halls fill with consumers, and sections such as FITUR LGBT+ switch to leisure activities.
- Hours are 10:00 to 19:00 on professional days, 10:00 to 20:00 on Saturday and 10:00 to 18:00 on Sunday.
- Cloakrooms at each hall entrance open 30 minutes before the fair and close an hour after; battery-powered devices such as e-scooters are refused.
Getting to IFEMA MADRID and where to stay
IFEMA puts Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez airport about ten minutes from the fairground, at Av. Partenón 5. Metro Line 8 (Nuevos Ministerios to Aeropuerto T4) links the airport stations Aeropuerto T1-T2-T3 and Aeropuerto T4 with Feria de Madrid station, whose exit faces IFEMA's South entrance, and Cercanías RENFE commuter trains connect with Line 8. City buses 73, 112 and 122 and intercity bus 828 also serve the venue. Taxi ranks sit inside the grounds at the South, North and East entrances, and a €3 supplement applies to taxis entering or leaving. Long-distance trains arrive at Atocha.
IFEMA's travel agreements give up to 15% off Iberia, Iberia Express and Iberia Regional/Air Nostrum flights booked on iberia.com, and up to 20% off Renfe trains. For accommodation, the FITUR Passport Hotels scheme lists members of the Madrid Hotel Business Association (AEHM) offering 15% off the best available unrestricted rate for direct bookings during the fair, early check-in from 10:00, late check-out until 16:00 and free Wi-Fi; hotels may ask to see your FITUR pass. The partner travel agency is Viajes El Corte Inglés.
How does FITUR fit the January calendar?
FITUR's trade days overlap two Asian events: SATTE runs at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi from 19 to 21 January 2027, and the ASEAN Tourism Forum is due in Singapore from 18 to 22 January 2027, according to a Singapore Tourism Board notice last updated in March 2026. Companies selling to Europe, India and Southeast Asia will need to choose or split teams. Within Europe, ITB Berlin follows from 16 to 18 March 2027 and, unlike FITUR, has no public days. Our travel trade shows calendar lists the full year.
