Travel Market News covers the business of travel — aviation, tourism economics, destinations and travel markets. These are the standards every article on this site is held to.
Sourcing
- Every statistic, fee, date and rule in our reporting is grounded in a verifiable source — official bodies (IATA, ICAO, UN Tourism, national governments), company statements and filings, or reputable industry publications.
- Each article ends with a Sources list linking to the material it draws on, so readers can check our work.
- Where facts are disputed or provisional, we say so in the text rather than presenting them as settled.
Independence
Our coverage is editorially independent. We do not accept payment for favourable coverage, and airlines, tourism boards and companies we write about have no approval rights over our reporting. If content is ever sponsored, it will be clearly labelled.
Accuracy and corrections
Travel rules and industry figures change quickly. When we learn a published article contains a material error, we correct it promptly and note the change where appropriate. To request a correction, email editor@travelmarketnews.com with the article link and the issue; we review every request.
Images
Photography is used under Creative Commons and public-domain licences, primarily from Wikimedia Commons. Every cover image carries a visible credit naming the photographer, the licence and the source page. Licensing concerns are handled the same way as corrections — email us and we will fix or remove the image.
How we work
Articles are produced by the Travel Market News desk. Our workflow uses modern editorial technology, including AI-assisted research and drafting tools, with every piece reviewed, fact-checked against primary sources and edited before publication. Responsibility for what we publish rests with the editorial desk, not the tools.
