India International Travel Mart (IITM) is a travel-trade exhibition held in several Indian cities each season, organised by Sphere Travelmedia & Exhibitions, where travel companies and tourism boards meet trade visitors. The 2026–27 circuit opens with IITM Mumbai on 30–31 October 2026 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (Hall 2), Goregaon East, and ends in Ahmedabad on 12–13 March 2027.

Pune, Hyderabad, Kochi and Kolkata come in between, and every leg opens from 11:00 to 18:00. The organiser bills each 2026–27 leg as a "B2B Travel & Tourism Exhibition", so the circuit suits destinations, hotels and travel suppliers, Indian and international, who want to meet agents city by city.

IITM 2026–27 dates and venues by city

Each city is a separate show with its own registration. Mumbai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad run for two days; Pune, Hyderabad and Kochi run for three.

Two entries need care. For Kolkata, the organiser's homepage, trade-visitor page and September 2026 brochure all give 19–20 February 2027, but the Kolkata registration form says 19–20 January 2027, and no venue has been named. Chennai and Bengaluru were held in July 2026 and have no 2026–27 dates. A Delhi/NCR edition is still listed on the homepage, but only with September 2025 dates and no venue, and it is not in the 2026–27 brochure schedule.

Who exhibits and who attends IITM?

The organiser publishes no attendance figures for individual legs. Its September 2026 brochure describes the network as nine key travel markets, 55,000 trade and corporate buyers and 3,500+ exhibitors, Indian and international. Its homepage says IITM has "to date" hosted more than 2,469 exhibitors and 22,000 trade visitors from 39 countries and 36 Indian states and union territories. The two sets of numbers do not match and neither describes a single edition, so read them as cumulative claims. The brochure dates the show to 1999.

According to the brochure, exhibitors include national tourist organisations and state tourism boards; tour operators and destination management companies; hotels, resorts and spas; adventure operators; airlines, railways and cruise lines; MICE operators and convention venues; and travel portals. Its list of countries represented at earlier editions runs from Australia and Japan to Singapore, Thailand, the UK and Vietnam.

The stated visitor profile is travel agents and tour operators, MICE specialists, wedding planners and event managers, corporate travel decision-makers, hotel owners and senior hospitality managers, and media. The homepage lists support from travel associations including TAAI, OTOAI, ETAA, IATO, ADTOI and SKAL.

How to attend IITM: registration, cost and entry

Trade visitors register separately for each city through the organiser's trade-visitor page. On 25 October 2026 its buttons worked for Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Kochi; the Kolkata and Ahmedabad forms were live but linked only from older listings on the page. The form asks for a business category: hospitality, travel agency, aviation, transport, MICE, adventure or other.

No visitor fee is published. IITM runs no published hosted-buyer programme for 2026–27, and the site offers no media accreditation or student route; journalists and students should contact the organiser directly.

Is it open to the public? Not on the published evidence for 2026–27. The homepage and the "why visit" page still talk about business-to-consumer visitors and list benefits for general visitors, but the general-visitor registration link returns an error, no public days are published, and every 2026–27 registration page bills its leg as a B2B exhibition.

Exhibitors book space through the organiser's "Exhibit at IITM" page. The 2025–26 booking form priced space at ₹32,000 to ₹35,000 per square metre plus 18% GST, depending on the city; 2026–27 rates have not been published.

Networking at IITM: what to plan before you go

IITM publishes no appointment system, matchmaking app or conference programme for its 2026–27 legs. The brochure lists seminars, workshops and panel discussions among the benefits of exhibiting, but no session schedule has been posted, so meetings are arranged directly between exhibitors and visitors.

That puts the work before the show. With two or three days per city and fixed hours of 11:00 to 18:00, exhibitors should contact the agents they want to see in each city and book times in advance. The calendar allows pairing: Pune (26–28 November) and Hyderabad (3–5 December) are a week apart, and Kochi follows on 7–9 January.

Getting there and where to stay

The organiser publishes no travel guidance, so work from the addresses it lists: in Pune, Deccan College Ground is at Survey Number 36, next to Bombay Sappers, Yerwada; in Hyderabad, HITEX is at Izzat Nagar, Kondapur, and the venue's own Hyderabad page lists hotels within 5 km of the halls; in Kochi, the stadium postcode is 682020.

For Chennai, whose listed venue is Chennai Trade Centre, the venue says it is about a 30-minute drive from Chennai International Airport and 4–5 km from Guindy railway station, with Nandambakkam Police Station the nearest bus stop. IITM names no official or partner hotels for any leg.

How IITM compares with TTF and OTM

TTF, the Travel & Tourism Fair, run by Fairfest Media, also tours Indian cities. Its remaining 2026–27 legs are Bengaluru on 19–21 February and Chennai on 26–28 February 2027, and both admit the public from midway through day two, whereas IITM bills its 2026–27 legs as B2B. The two series share a venue in Hyderabad: TTF used HITEX Exhibition Centre (Hall 2) on 9–11 October 2026, and IITM takes Hall 3 on 3–5 December. For a single national show, Fairfest's OTM runs at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on 1–3 February 2027. Every date is on our travel trade shows calendar.
