This page tracks 16 aviation industry events, from the international airshows to route-development forums, cabin, airport and maintenance expos and airline strategy conferences, 16 of them checked against the organisers' own websites. Its tables look further ahead than our other hubs because the airshows run on a two-year cycle. Leisure, business and MICE trade shows are in our full travel trade shows calendar.

The short answer: aircraft orders and the wider aerospace supply chain belong to the airshows, which are the Paris Air Show and Dubai Airshow in odd-numbered years and Farnborough and Singapore in even ones. Airports and tourism boards that want new air services go to Routes World and its regional events, where the buyers are airline network planners. Cabin suppliers meet airlines at Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg.

Last updated: 1 November 2026. The tables below are rebuilt weekly from dates checked on organisers' own websites; shows drop off once they have taken place. For every show see our travel trade shows calendar, and the MICE events calendar, luxury travel trade shows.

The two-year airshow cycle

The big international airshows are held every two years and rarely clash. Paris and Farnborough alternate: the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget takes June in odd-numbered years (2025, then 2027), and the Farnborough International Airshow in the UK takes July in even years, with its organiser confirming a 2028 show after the 2026 edition. Dubai and Singapore alternate in the same way. Dubai Airshow at Dubai World Central is held in November of odd years, and its organiser calls the 2027 show the 20th edition; the Singapore Airshow at the Changi Exhibition Centre takes February of even years, after its 10th edition in 2026.

ILA Berlin, hosted by the German aerospace association BDLI with Messe Berlin, also falls in even years: it was last held in June and is set for May next time. Wings India, organised by India's Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Airports Authority of India and FICCI and last held at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad, ran in 2024 and 2026 and has not yet announced its next dates. An odd-numbered year brings Paris in early summer and Dubai in late autumn, while an even year runs Singapore, Berlin and Farnborough between February and July. The specialist events further down this page are annual.

Trade days and public days

Most airshows open with trade days and finish with public days, and the split decides when to book meetings. Plan business for the trade days: under-16s are not admitted on the trade-only days at Paris or Farnborough, and Wings India kept under-18s out of its first two days in 2026.

ShowFormat at the latest published edition
Paris Air ShowFour trade days for professionals aged 16 and over, then three public days
FarnboroughTrade visitors on all five days; public tickets for the Friday only, a family and careers day called Pioneers of Tomorrow
Singapore AirshowFour trade days, then a public weekend
ILA BerlinThree trade days, then a public weekend
Dubai AirshowTrade only; the public buys tickets for SkyView, a grandstand beside the site
Wings IndiaConference and business passes for all four days; general visitors on the last two days only

Prices follow the same split. At the 2025 Paris show a trade badge cost €60 a day online, against €18 for a public ticket. Dubai's 2025 trade pass cost US$149 when registration opened and US$299 including VAT on show days, while SkyView tickets started at AED 30. Wings India charged business visitors INR 3,500 or US$100 plus tax for the exhibition, and general visitors INR 944 or US$59 including GST. Farnborough's public day sold out before the 2026 show, so book public tickets early.

Route-development forums: Routes World and the regional events

Routes events are not airshows. Airports, tourism authorities and economic development agencies use pre-scheduled meetings to persuade airline network planners to launch or add flights. Routes, part of Informa, runs Routes World once a year in a different city, plus regional forums: Routes Americas, Routes Asia and Routes Europe. For Routes World in Barcelona, the organiser expects network planning heads from 230 carriers and more than 8,000 meetings; for Routes Asia in New Delhi, VPs and heads of network planning from more than 115 airlines. The 2026 Routes World moved from Riyadh to Frankfurt.

Each edition has a host that uses it to court airlines: the Generalitat de Catalunya and Barcelona City Council for Routes World in Barcelona, and the Airports Authority of India for Routes Asia in New Delhi. As for who pays, delegates register through a Routes account that the organiser vets, choose a registration option by company type and pay by card. Routes does not publish its rates on its open pages: organisations ask its team about meeting packages, and stands are tailored to budget. Its public pages do not say whether airline delegates pay, so airlines should ask, and accredited journalists attend free. At the 2026 Routes World, the meeting-request system opened to airlines first and to supplier delegates last. Our tracker of airline route launches and cuts shows which carriers are adding capacity.

Cabin, airport, maintenance and strategy events

The annual specialist shows are where airlines buy products rather than aircraft. Aircraft Interiors Expo, run by RX at Hamburg Messe each April, covers seats, galleys, lighting and inflight entertainment and connectivity. One badge also covers the World Travel Catering & Onboard Services Expo, and the separately ticketed Passenger Experience Conference opens the week. It is trade only: in 2026 a visitor badge cost €50 early or €100, excluding tax, while vetted airline, lessor and business-jet staff who direct or influence purchases received a free VIP badge. The organiser counted 12,286 attendees from 98 countries and more than 185 airlines at that show.

Airport operators and their suppliers have PTE World (Passenger Terminal Expo), run by UKi Media & Events: the expo is free to visit (suppliers pay a small fee), the conference is paid, and no one under 16 is admitted. Maintenance buyers have MRO Americas in Orlando, run by Aviation Week Network. Airline commercial, distribution and technology teams meet vendors at Terrapinn's World Aviation Festival in Lisbon and at Aviation Festival Asia, which the organiser is moving from Singapore to Bangkok for its next edition. World Aviation Festival publishes its prices: a standard ticket of €3,495 before early-bird discounts, a €295 pass for airline, airport and ground-handling executives, and a free pass for those executives who commit to at least six meetings.

Order announcements: reading the headline numbers

Airshows are where aircraft and engine deals are announced, but organisers count them differently. Farnborough's organiser said its 2026 show was the stage for commercial deals worth more than $84.7 billion, with 353 firm commercial aircraft orders and 904 firm engine orders placed. Dubai Airshow's organiser put its 2025 total at more than US$202 billion in orders booked, but its own release mixed orders with purchase agreements, lease commitments and memoranda of understanding. SIAE describes Paris as "a venue for major decisions and announcements" yet its 2025 show report gives no order tally. Singapore's organiser reported a record 65,000 trade attendees in 2026 and highlighted investments rather than a total, such as GE Aerospace's US$300 million commitment to expand engine repair in Singapore.

For capacity planning, the useful questions are whether a deal is a firm order, an option or a memorandum, and when the aircraft can be delivered. Our aircraft orders and deliveries tracker follows that, our report on Airbus and Boeing's third-quarter deliveries shows the production backdrop, and our Farnborough Airshow 2026 preview covers what was announced there.

Frequently asked questions

Which aviation industry events and airshows are coming up?

The next aviation industry events and airshows in our calendar are CAPA Airline Leader Summit World 2026 (10–11 Dec 2026, Milan); Routes Americas 2027 (10–12 Feb 2027, San Juan); Aviation Festival Asia 2027 (16–17 Mar 2027, Bangkok); Routes Asia 2027 (16–18 Mar 2027, New Delhi); Aircraft Interiors Expo 2027 (6–8 Apr 2027, Hamburg). Dates were checked on each organiser's website and the list is updated weekly; the tables above have the full schedule.

Which airshows are held every two years?

The main international airshows are biennial and alternate. The Paris Air Show at Le Bourget is held in June of odd-numbered years and Farnborough in the UK in July of even years. Dubai Airshow takes November of odd years and the Singapore Airshow February of even years. ILA Berlin also runs in even years, and Wings India in Hyderabad held its two most recent editions in 2024 and 2026.

Can the public attend the Paris, Farnborough and Dubai airshows?

Paris, yes: after four trade days the Paris Air Show opens to the public for its last three days. Farnborough sold public tickets for the Friday only at its 2026 show, a family and careers day called Pioneers of Tomorrow. Dubai Airshow is trade only, but the public can buy tickets for SkyView, a grandstand beside the site, to watch the flying display.

What happens at Routes World?

Routes World is a route-development forum, not an airshow. Airports, tourism authorities and economic development agencies hold pre-scheduled meetings with airline network planners to make the case for new or extra flights. Routes, part of Informa, holds it once a year in a different host city and runs regional editions too: Routes Americas, Routes Asia and Routes Europe. It has no public days.

How much does it cost to attend aviation industry events?

It varies widely. At the 2025 Paris Air Show a one-day trade badge cost €60 online, and Dubai Airshow's 2025 trade pass cost US$149 at launch and US$299 on show days. Aircraft Interiors Expo charged visitors €50 to €100 in 2026 but gave vetted airline staff free VIP badges. World Aviation Festival lists €3,495 tickets and a €295 airline and airport pass. Routes does not publish its rates on its open pages.

Do airshow order totals count only firm orders?

Not always. Farnborough's organiser reported deals worth more than $84.7 billion at its 2026 show, including 353 firm commercial aircraft orders and 904 firm engine orders. Dubai Airshow's organiser put its 2025 total at more than US$202 billion, but its release mixed orders with purchase agreements, lease commitments and memoranda of understanding. The Paris Air Show organiser gave no order tally in its 2025 show report.
