IFTM 2027 takes place from Tuesday 5 to Thursday 7 October 2027 in Hall 1 of Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, and only tourism professionals with a badge can get in. Organised by RX France, IFTM (International & French Travel Market, long known as IFTM Top Resa) calls itself the only B2B show in France that brings together leisure, business travel, MICE, group travel and travel technology.

The 49th edition moves later in the year: the 2026 show ran from 15 to 17 September. Opening hours for 2027 are 9:30 to 19:00, according to the organiser, and Mexico is the country of honour in the bicentenary year of its diplomatic relations with France. Its visitors include travel agents and French and international buyers, from corporate and MICE to leisure, according to RX.

Who exhibits at IFTM and who attends?

The 2026 edition drew 34,638 tourism professionals, up 8.2% on 32,022 in 2025, who met 1,625 brands and 180 destinations, according to RX France's results release. Participants confirmed 18,592 business meetings through the Everywhere matchmaking platform, 11% more than the 16,725 of 2025, and the number of travel agents rose 4.95%. The show also hosted 76 official delegations.

RX says 45% of visitors work in travel agencies. The rest include purchasing decision-makers and product managers, travel managers, tourism associations and public bodies, coach operators, transport companies, event professionals, technology managers, press and content creators. The floor is organised into villages and zones: Destination France, a Tour Operators Village, a Cruise Village, the Club Affaires for business travel (agency networks, airlines, travel management companies, hotel chains and car rental firms), a distribution-networks village, the Tech Zone for GDS, CRM and management software, and the Orchestra Start-Up Village.

How to attend IFTM 2027

Trade visitors register online for a badge, which is personal and non-transferable, can be downloaded 15 days before the show and must be printed. As of 25 October 2026, RX has not published 2027 prices, and its badge-booking page was offline. For 2026 the visitor badge cost:

  • €50 including VAT until 31 May, an early rate on RX's badge page but not in its FAQ;
  • €80 including VAT until 10 July;
  • €130 from 11 July to 14 September;
  • €210 on site.

It covered all three days, the conferences and events, meeting requests through Everywhere and the Colleqt scanning tool. A Premium visitor package at €450 including VAT, limited to 50 people, added visitor-to-visitor matchmaking, a half-day table in the business-meetings area, VIP Club access and an Everywhere concierge service. Students of accredited schools enter free, but only on the final afternoon (from 13:00 in 2026). Press badges are subject to approval, and there are separate badges for teachers and content creators. International visitors can download a visa support letter from their registration confirmation email.

Is it open to the public? No. IFTM is a professional show with no public days, and under-18s are admitted only with the organiser's prior written permission, as with pre-registered students.

Is there a hosted-buyer programme?

IFTM's website describes no hosted-buyer programme. In 2026 it launched pre-qualified one-to-one meetings between exhibitors and corporate buyers at the Club Affaires: on the final morning, from 8:30 before the doors opened, pairs held 15- to 20-minute meetings at around twenty tables. RX plans to expand the scheme in 2027 with more slots, new buyer profiles and a roll-out beyond the Club Affaires.

Networking: Everywhere, conferences and practical tips

Everywhere is IFTM's free matchmaking platform for visitors and exhibitors. After booking a badge you receive login details; the platform suggests contacts based on your profile, and you book meetings for set times on the floor, with a concierge service before and during the show. In 2026 it opened in early July, so a complete profile by then pays off. Exhibitors use RX Lead Manager to scan badges, and visitors can scan exhibitors' Colleqt QR codes to collect information.

Conferences are free with a badge and need no pre-registration. Most are in French; in 2026 only two had simultaneous interpretation, the opening conference (French to English) and the Panorama International (English to French), and replays go on IFTM's YouTube channel. Fixtures include the Travel Agents Cup, the Orchestra Start-Up Contest and industry barometers on business travel, meetings and artificial intelligence.

Coming straight from the airport? Suitcases, travel bags and backpacks larger than A3 are not allowed into the show, so plan to leave them at the cloakroom by the entrance, which charged €4 per bag in 2026.

Getting to Paris Expo Porte de Versailles and where to stay

RX's practical-information page gives metro line 12 to Porte de Versailles, metro line 8 to Balard, and tram lines T2 and T3a to Porte de Versailles. From Paris-Charles de Gaulle, it suggests the RER B and then tram T3a, about 40 minutes; from Orly, metro line 14 and tram T3a, about 55 minutes. Drivers can use car parks P1, P6 and P7, and the nearest to Hall 1 is car park R. For 2026, RX arranged a 10% Air France-KLM discount code and promised SNCF rail discounts.

RX names no individual hotels. Its official accommodation partner, Bnetwork, offers preferential rates at hotels near the show for individuals and groups, and RX warns that some companies falsely pose as IFTM-endorsed providers.

How does IFTM compare with ITB Berlin and WTM London?

In 2026 IFTM overlapped with Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, which ran from 14 to 17 September. In 2027 ATM runs from 3 to 6 May, so there is no clash. The other big European trade fixtures differ mostly in timing and scale:

ShowNext datesVenuePublic daysLast edition (organiser figures)
IFTM5–7 October 2027Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Hall 1None2026: 34,638 professionals, 1,625 brands, 180 destinations

WTM London3–5 November 2026ExCeL LondonNone2025: total attendance 46,500; 5,500 buyers; 182 countries represented

The practical difference is the market: RX says 45% of IFTM's visitors work in travel agencies, and most of its conferences are in French. Organisers count attendance differently, so compare the figures with care. Our travel trade shows calendar lists the full year.

Frequently asked questions

When is IFTM 2027?

IFTM 2027 takes place from Tuesday 5 to Thursday 7 October 2027 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Hall 1, 1 Place de la Porte de Versailles, 75015 Paris. The organiser gives opening hours of 9:30 to 19:00. It is the 49th edition, with Mexico as country of honour. The 2026 edition ran from 15 to 17 September.

Is IFTM open to the public?

No. IFTM is a professional show for tourism professionals with a badge, and it has no public or consumer days. People under 18 are admitted only with the organiser's prior written permission, for example pre-registered students from accredited schools, whose free badges were valid only on the final afternoon in 2026.

How much does it cost to attend IFTM?

As of 25 October 2026, RX France has not published 2027 prices. In 2026 a visitor badge cost €50 including VAT until 31 May, €80 until 10 July, €130 from 11 July to 14 September and €210 on site, covering all three days and the conferences. A Premium package with a meeting table and VIP Club access cost €450 and was limited to 50 people. Accredited students entered free.

Was IFTM previously called IFTM Top Resa?

Yes. The show was long known as IFTM Top Resa, and that name still appears in some page titles and partner quotes on the organiser's site. RX France now presents it as IFTM, International and French Travel Market, the meeting place for tourism professionals in Paris. It is the same annual event at Porte de Versailles.

Are IFTM conferences held in English?

Mostly not. RX France says the conferences are mainly in French. In 2026 only two sessions had simultaneous interpretation: the opening conference, from French into English, and the Panorama International, from English into French, with headsets provided in the rooms. Replays are posted on IFTM's YouTube channel, so English speakers can follow up after the show.
