OTM Mumbai 2027 runs from 1 to 3 February 2027 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. It is India's largest gathering of outbound travel buyers, and for foreign tourism boards selling into India it is usually the highest-yield three days of the year.

Why OTM's buyer mix is different

Mumbai is the commercial centre of Indian outbound travel. The agencies that package Europe, Southeast Asia, the Gulf and increasingly Japan and Central Asia for Indian travellers are concentrated in western India, and OTM is built around them.

That gives the show a distinct character. Where SATTE in Delhi balances inbound, domestic and outbound with a strong government presence, OTM is more purely a marketplace for selling foreign product into the Indian trade.

The venue

Jio World Convention Centre sits in the Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai's newer business district. It is well served by hotels within walking distance and is materially easier to reach than the city's older exhibition grounds — a genuine consideration in Mumbai traffic.

Who should be there

  • Foreign tourism boards and DMCs targeting Indian outbound — this is the primary room.
  • Hotel groups seeking Indian leisure and wedding business.
  • Airlines building agency relationships in western India.
  • Indian agents sourcing new destinations and contracting for the summer season.

Timing

Early February is deliberate. It sits ahead of contracting for the Indian summer holiday peak (May–June) and the autumn wedding season, so deals struck at OTM feed directly into the year's two biggest selling windows. February in Mumbai is also the most comfortable weather of the year.

What contracting at OTM actually looks like

OTM is a working show rather than a showcase. Indian outbound agents arrive to negotiate rates, allocations and commission structures for the coming season, and the more productive meetings are follow-ups with suppliers already known rather than first introductions.

New entrants should treat their first OTM as relationship-building and expect commercial results at the second. Indian trade relationships tend to be personal and durable; agents place business with people they have met repeatedly, and a single appearance rarely displaces an incumbent.

Beyond the hall

A significant share of the value sits in the evenings. Destination boards routinely run dinners, product presentations and awards around the show, and those are often where agents commit. Budget for hosting, not just for stand space.

Combining with SATTE

Because OTM follows SATTE by roughly two weeks, many international suppliers run one India trip covering both, using the gap for agent visits in other cities. It is a demanding schedule but materially cheaper than two long-haul trips.
