SATTE 2027 runs from 19 to 21 January 2027 at Yashobhoomi (India International Convention & Expo Centre) in Dwarka, New Delhi. It is South Asia's largest travel and tourism exchange, and for most destination boards it is the single most important date in the Indian calendar.
What SATTE is
SATTE is a business-to-business exchange rather than a consumer fair. National tourism boards, state tourism departments, hotel groups, DMCs, airlines and technology suppliers exhibit; Indian travel agents, tour operators and corporate buyers attend to source product. The commercial logic is simple — India's outbound market is large, fragmented and growing, and SATTE is where the buying side concentrates in one hall.
The venue matters this cycle
Yashobhoomi in Dwarka is a relatively recent convention complex near Indira Gandhi International Airport, and it is a meaningfully different proposition from central Delhi venues. Plan transfers accordingly: it is closer to the airport than to the city's traditional hotel districts, so agents travelling in from other states often find airport-adjacent accommodation more practical than staying in central Delhi.
SATTE or OTM?
The two are frequently treated as interchangeable. They are not. SATTE in Delhi skews toward the northern and national trade and carries strong inbound and domestic representation alongside outbound. OTM in Mumbai, which follows on 1–3 February 2027, is more heavily weighted to outbound buyers and western India.
If budget allows only one, choose by where your buyers are. If you sell a foreign destination into India, OTM's buyer profile is usually the better match. If you need national reach, government contact and inbound as well as outbound, SATTE is the stronger room.
Planning notes
- January is peak season in Delhi — book accommodation early, and expect fog-related flight delays in the mornings.
- Appointments should be locked before you travel; walk-up traffic at a large stand is not a strategy.
- The show sits two weeks before OTM, so many suppliers plan a single India trip covering both.
Getting the most out of three days
SATTE's scale works against casual attendance. With hundreds of exhibitors spread across a large hall, an unplanned visit produces a bag of brochures and few decisions.
The buyers who get value arrive with a shortlist. That means identifying twenty or so target suppliers in advance, requesting appointments through the organiser's system before it closes, and blocking the remaining time for the conference sessions rather than wandering.
For exhibitors the equivalent discipline is staffing. A stand needs someone senior enough to make commercial commitments present throughout — a common failure is sending only marketing staff who must refer every real question back to head office, by which point the buyer has moved on.
The wider January window
SATTE sits inside a dense stretch of the international calendar. FITUR in Madrid runs 20–24 January 2027 and the ASEAN Tourism Forum is on 18–22 January in Singapore, so suppliers covering multiple regions face genuine conflicts that month. Decide early which market matters most rather than attempting all three.
