IITM — India International Travel Mart — is a touring circuit, not a single show. The next editions run from Mumbai on 29–31 October 2026 through Ahmedabad on 12–13 March 2027, with stops in Pune, Hyderabad, Kochi and Kolkata in between.

Chennai and Bengaluru editions were still listed as to-be-announced at the time of writing. Confirm on the organiser's site before booking — aggregator calendars carry incorrect IITM dates with some regularity.
Why a touring format works in India
India's travel trade is not concentrated in two cities. Substantial agency businesses operate out of Pune, Kochi, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and dozens of smaller centres, and many of those agents will never spend three days and a flight attending a national show in Delhi or Mumbai.
A touring mart inverts the economics: the suppliers travel instead of the buyers. For a destination board, appearing in four regional editions can reach more genuinely new agents than one large national stand, usually at lower total cost.
What to expect on the floor
IITM editions typically combine trade access with public days, so the visitor mix is broader than at a pure B2B show like SATTE. Treat the trade hours as the commercial part of the visit and the public hours as consumer-facing brand exposure — useful if you sell direct as well as through agents.
What a regional edition costs versus a national show
The commercial case for the touring circuit rests on cost per qualified conversation. Stand space at a regional IITM edition is a fraction of a national show's, and the travel is domestic rather than international for most exhibitors.
The trade-off is depth. Regional editions draw fewer buyers in absolute terms, and the mix skews toward smaller agencies and retail rather than large consolidators. If you need volume contracts with major operators, a national show remains necessary; if you need distribution reach into new geographies, the circuit does it more cheaply.
Choosing which cities
The editions are not interchangeable. Pune and Ahmedabad reach affluent, outbound-heavy markets with strong family and group travel patterns. Kochi is the gateway to Kerala's distinctive agency network. Hyderabad and Kolkata anchor southern and eastern regions respectively with quite different destination preferences.
Suppliers with limited budget usually pick two editions matched to their product rather than spreading thinly across all six.
Frequently asked questions
What are the IITM 2026-27 dates?
Mumbai 29-31 October 2026, Pune 26-28 November 2026, Hyderabad 3-5 December 2026, Kochi 7-9 January 2027, Kolkata 19-20 February 2027 and Ahmedabad 12-13 March 2027. Chennai and Bengaluru were unannounced at the time of writing.
Is IITM a trade or consumer show?
Both. IITM editions generally offer trade access alongside public days, which is why the visitor mix is broader than at a purely B2B exchange.
Why attend IITM instead of a national show?
IITM reaches agents in tier-2 and tier-3 cities who rarely travel to Delhi or Mumbai for national shows. Several regional editions can reach more new buyers than one national stand.
