PHITEX 2027 dates have not been published: the last edition, PHITEX 2026, ran from 7 to 14 September 2026 at Conrad Manila in Pasay City, Metro Manila, with its two days of business meetings on 8 and 9 September. On 25 October 2026 the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines had no 2027 event page; we will update this page when it announces the next edition.
TPB, an attached agency of the Department of Tourism, calls the Philippine Travel Exchange the country's foremost government-organised travel trade event and traces it back to 1996. It is not a hall of stands: screened international buyers, invited by TPB, hold pre-arranged table-top appointments with approved Philippine sellers, then join post-event tours. It suits overseas tour operators, travel agents and incentive planners who sell or want to sell the Philippines, and Philippine suppliers seeking overseas distribution.
Who exhibits and who attends PHITEX?
TPB's closing release for PHITEX 2026, issued on 18 September 2026, counts 102 Philippine sellers and 76 foreign buyers from 24 countries. Eleven of those countries are what TPB calls emerging markets, among them Denmark, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates; the rest are its 13 key markets, including Australia, mainland China, India, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States.
It reports PHP 594.7 million in sales leads, a partial figure 20.12% above 2025's PHP 495.09 million, although TPB's chief operating officer is quoted in the same release citing PHP 506.15 million, so treat the total as provisional.
TPB's guidelines open seller places to TPB members and suppliers accredited by the Department of Tourism (DOT): travel agencies, tour operators and DMCs, hotels and resorts, MICE operators, venues, wellness and adventure businesses, tourist transport and attractions. TPB looks for buyers who sell Asia but not yet the Philippines, want to add or expand Philippine programmes, or buy incentive travel, at manager or assistant director level or above.
How to attend PHITEX
Is it open to the public? No. Participation is limited to approved buyers and sellers. TPB's guidelines say accompanying persons, including colleagues without badges, drivers and guests, are escorted out of the meeting area.
Buyers apply through the online pre-registration form and are screened by a committee drawn from TPB-allied tourism associations. The 2026 deadline was 21 July, about seven weeks before the show. Priority goes to first-time buyers and those who have attended in person only once in three years; past buyers who produced no bookings are not considered. The guidelines list no buyer fee.
Hosted buyers in 2026 received a single room with breakfast, airport and function transfers, meals on the meeting and tour days, Mandarin, Korean and Japanese interpreters, and a post-event tour with domestic flights. Fully hosted buyers could also reclaim international airfare, capped at an average economy fare from their country, if they arrived on 5 September, left by 16 September and handed in an appointment sheet showing at least 24 completed meetings.
Sellers register one delegate per company, at middle-manager level or above, with a DOT accreditation and TPB membership certificate; places are first-come, first-served, with priority for TPB members. The standard 2026 fee was PHP 20,000, with a TPB-member discount that the organiser's pages state differently (PHP 10,000 in the guidelines, PHP 18,000 on "Who can participate"), so confirm the rate in your approval email and pay only after approval. Sellers pay their own travel and accommodation. No media or student route is published.

Networking at PHITEX: how the meetings work
The B2B sessions, called TRAVEX, use a diary-style system: buyers pick their preferred sellers first, then sellers choose their buyers. Each pre-arranged meeting lasts 15 minutes, with a three-minute warning to wrap up. The participation guidelines give each buyer 40 official appointments over the two days, 20 a day, with extra meetings allowed on the floor when sellers are free. The organiser's "Who can participate" page gives a lower figure of 29, so check the current guidelines before planning a diary.
The code of conduct is strict: neither side may refuse a request while it has open slots, and buyers may not meet other buyers during sessions. Sellers must file evaluation, sales-lead and appointment forms on the last TRAVEX day; missing the 10-working-day grace period brings a 12-month ban from TPB events.
Outside the meetings, the 2026 programme included MICEConversations on 7 September and a Philippine Dinner Reception whose programme included announcing the official MICECON host destination. TPB's closing release lists post-tours to Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur, Palawan, Cebu and Bohol, and Davao.
Getting there and where to stay
TPB has not named a 2027 venue. The 2026 edition used Conrad Manila in the Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City; the PHITEX secretariat is also in the complex, at Five E-Com Center. The hotel's own location page, in a copy archived on 16 January 2026, puts it about 6 km from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), roughly a 15-minute drive, with the EDSA MRT and Taft LRT stations "within a 20-minute reach" and direct pathways to the SMX Convention Center and Mall of Asia.
In 2026 TPB booked hosted buyers' rooms and ran their airport, function and departure transfers. Sellers arrange their own accommodation; TPB's guidelines still listed the official hotel as "TBC", so check them for 2027 arrangements rather than booking through anyone claiming to act for the event.
How PHITEX compares with other Southeast Asian marts
PHITEX shares its format of screened buyers, pre-scheduled meetings and post-tours with the region's other country-focused marts. By the organisers' own counts, Thailand Travel Mart Plus 2026 drew 429 international buyers and 428 Thai sellers, against PHITEX 2026's 76 buyers and 102 sellers. ASITA Bali publishes no figures for the Bali & Beyond Travel Fair, but Indonesia's state news agency ANTARA reported 407 buyers and 286 sellers at the 2026 edition. Frequently asked questions
When is PHITEX 2027?
The Tourism Promotions Board had not announced PHITEX 2027 dates or a venue as of 25 October 2026. The last edition, PHITEX 2026, ran from 7 to 14 September 2026, with the TRAVEX business meetings on 8 and 9 September at Conrad Manila in Pasay City and post-event tours from 10 to 14 September.
Is PHITEX open to the public?
No. PHITEX is a closed business-to-business exchange. Buyers take part by invitation after screening, seller places are open to approved TPB members and DOT-accredited suppliers, and accompanying persons, including colleagues without badges, are not admitted. There are no public days and no tickets on sale.
How much does it cost to attend PHITEX?
For 2026, Philippine sellers paid a standard participation fee of PHP 20,000, discounted for TPB members, plus their own travel and accommodation. TPB lists no fee for international buyers. Hosted buyers received rooms, transfers, meals and post-tours, and fully hosted buyers could reclaim international airfare, up to a cap, after completing at least 24 meetings.
How do I become a hosted buyer at PHITEX?
Complete the online buyer pre-registration form on the PHITEX website before the deadline, which was 21 July for the 2026 edition. A screening committee checks that you hold a manager-level role or higher and sell, or plan to sell, the Philippines; first-time buyers get priority. Approved buyers are told by email.
Where is PHITEX held?
PHITEX 2026 was held at Conrad Manila, Seaside Boulevard corner Coral Way, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City, which the hotel says is about 6 km from Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The Philippine Dinner Reception took place at Solaire Resort Entertainment City. TPB has not yet named a venue for PHITEX 2027.
