PATA Travel Mart 2027 runs from Monday 20 to Wednesday 22 September 2027 in Macao, China, as a trade-only mart built around pre-scheduled meetings between buyers and sellers. The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) organises it, and the Macao Government Tourism Office hosts this 50th edition. PATA's event page does not yet name a venue, but its 2027 exhibitor registration form gives The Venetian Macao.

It is for tourism suppliers selling into Asia Pacific and the international buyers who contract them. Alongside the mart, PATA plans a full-day insight forum, the PATA Gold Awards 2027 and social functions, and the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) is the Strategic Corporate Travel Partner, recruiting corporate buyers and travel managers.

Who exhibits at PATA Travel Mart and who attends?

The 2026 edition, held from 18 to 20 August at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) in Sarawak, Malaysia, brought together over 1,100 delegates from 48 countries and destinations, according to PATA's opening-day release. They included 221 buyers representing 215 companies from 29 source markets and over 365 sellers representing over 200 organisations and destinations, and the release counted more than 4,000 scheduled business appointments across the two main mart days.

PATA's 2027 exhibitor questionnaire lists seller types from national and regional tourism organisations, hotels, inbound operators and DMCs to airlines, attractions, MICE organisers, transport companies and travel technology firms. Sellers pick the buyer profiles they want to meet, from leisure, luxury and wellness specialists to wholesalers, OTAs and MICE, incentive and corporate buyers, and their target source regions.

The host destination moves: 2026 was the mart's first edition in Sarawak, and PATA's chief executive said that taking PTM "beyond the region's traditional gateways" was a deliberate way to open international markets to smaller and emerging destinations.

How to attend PATA Travel Mart 2027

Is it open to the public? No. PATA runs the mart for registered buyers, sellers and trade delegates and lists no public days. In 2026 it also sold a trade visitor pass, valid only on the final mart day; it has not yet said whether that pass returns in 2027.

Exhibiting (sellers)

As of 25 October 2026, seller registration for 2027 is open: the "Register now" button on PATA's event page leads to a form that exhibitors return by email. Its normal prices, before discounts, are:

  • Shell scheme, 9 sq m: US$3,500 for PATA members and US$4,500 for non-members, including a table, four chairs, a power socket and one exhibitor delegate with up to 35 pre-scheduled appointments.
  • Raw space, 18 sq m: US$5,300 for members and US$7,700 for non-members, with two delegates and up to 70 appointments.
  • Extra co-delegate: US$300, without appointments.

Booth discounts run in three steps: 25% off until 31 December 2026 (a shell scheme then costs US$2,625 for members or US$3,375 for non-members), 15% off from 1 January to 30 April 2027, and normal pricing from 1 May 2027. PTM 2026 exhibitors are entitled to a 5% loyalty discount, and PATA applies all these discounts to booth space only. Forms must reach PATA by 30 June 2027 to qualify for pre-scheduled appointments and the exhibitor list, and a late fee applies after 15 July 2027. Cancellations cost 50% up to 15 June 2027, with no refund from 16 June.

Buying (hosted buyers)

As of 25 October 2026, PATA's 2027 event page carries no buyer registration; it offers an enquiry form for anyone not ready to register. Buyers are admitted under what PATA calls its "standard hosted buyer qualification and approval procedures", the process GBTA's corporate buyers will also go through. For 2026, PATA's buyer package listed the registration fee, one set of appointments with one-to-one meetings and participation in buyer-hosted programmes and activities; flights and hotels were not on that list. Exhibitors can also nominate up to five buyers for PATA to invite.

Networking: appointments, the forum and side events

The 2026 programme shows the rhythm: a full day of the PATA Knowledge Forum, then two mart days that each opened with a Seller-meet-Buyer Open Hall Session before blocks of pre-scheduled appointments. Evenings held the PATA Gold Awards gala and a gala hosted by Sarawak's tourism ministry, and half-day destination experiences, capped at 40 places each, followed the close.

  • Register before 30 June 2027: later sellers miss the pre-scheduled appointments.
  • Only primary delegates with an appointment set get pre-scheduled meetings; co-delegates do not.
  • Use the form's buyer-nomination section to bring your own key accounts in. Exhibitor listings appear in the Cvent event app.

Getting to Macao and where to stay

PATA has not yet published official hotels for 2027. For 2026 it listed five official hotels with event rates and a daily transfer schedule, so check the event page nearer the date.

The Venetian Macao's own transport guide says Macao's hotels run free shuttle buses from Macau International Airport, the ferry terminals, the border gates and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Macao Port. Cotai Water Jet ferries link Hong Kong with Taipa Ferry Terminal in around an hour, and a cross-border bus runs from Zhuhai Airport to The Venetian Macao via Hengqin Port.

How does PATA Travel Mart compare with IT&CM Asia and ATF TRAVEX?

Three Asia Pacific B2B trade events, with each organiser's latest published figures:
