The next Kerala Travel Mart has not been announced. The organiser describes KTM as biennial, and the 13th edition ran from 24 to 27 September 2026 at the Sagara–Samudrika Convention Centre on Willingdon Island, Kochi. KTM is run by the Kerala Travel Mart Society, a non-profit body founded in 2000, with support from Kerala Tourism. It brings Kerala's tourism businesses together with domestic and international buyers through pre-scheduled meetings.
The Society says KTM is the only travel mart in the world focused on a single state. For overseas tour operators it is a way to meet a large part of Kerala's supply in one place; for Indian agents it works the same way for the domestic market. The sellers are Kerala-based businesses; overseas companies take part as buyers.
Who exhibits and who attends Kerala Travel Mart?
Before the 2026 edition the organiser reported 2,360 buyer registrations, 610 international and 1,750 domestic, which it called an all-time record, plus 117 media registrations and 366 sellers. It has not published a final buyer count. After the mart, Kerala Tourism reported 383 seller stalls and 25 government institution stalls, and 58,000 B2B meetings: 45,000 pre-scheduled and around 13,000 additional meetings.
| Edition | Dates | Buyers | Sellers | B2B meetings |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| KTM 2026 (13th) | 24–27 Sep 2026 | 2,360 registered before the event (610 international) | 383 seller stalls | 58,000 |
| KTM 2024 (12th) | 26–29 Sep 2024 | 2,800+ from 76 countries (808 international) | 350+ Kerala-based exhibitors | 75,000+ |
The 2026 buyer figure was counted months before the mart and the 2024 one afterwards, so treat the comparison with care. The 2024 sellers ranged from luxury resorts and houseboats to Ayurveda wellness, eco-lodges and heritage stays, and that edition promoted wedding tourism, MICE and responsible travel. The Society has more than 700 members.
How to attend Kerala Travel Mart
Buyers register through the Buyer Login on the Society's online portal. For 2026 the organiser said every core step, from registration to B2B meetings, would run on new software and a dedicated KTM mobile app. The Society had announced no registration for the next edition by 25 October 2026. The Society's website does not set out what, if anything, it covers for buyers' travel or accommodation, so international buyers should ask the secretariat before applying.
Sellers are Kerala tourism businesses. The portal has separate member, buyer and media logins, and a new business starts with the Society's membership registration.
Media register through a media login. For 2026 the organiser planned a pre-mart tour for invited foreign and domestic journalists.
Cost: the Society publishes no ticket price for buyers or the public session, and no stand or membership fees on its website.
Is it open to the public? Only for part of one day in 2026. The business sessions on 25, 26 and 27 September were for registered buyers and sellers, and the public was admitted only from 1pm on Sunday 27 September, after registering online.
Networking at KTM: the 2026 programme
The 2026 programme is the best guide to how the next mart may run:
- 24 September: inaugural function from 5pm at Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty, followed by dinner.
- 25 and 26 September: business sessions from 9:30am to 5:30pm at the convention centre, with panels on inclusive and accessible tourism, AI in tourism and evolving customer expectations, and a networking dinner at Le Meridien Kochi on 25 September.
- 27 September: business sessions from 9:30am to 1pm, a panel on social responsibility in tourism, public access from 1pm and the valedictory function at 4:30pm.
- 28 September to 3 October: post-mart tours scheduled on twelve geographic tracks.
Two practical points follow from the 2026 figures. About one meeting in five was additional to the pre-scheduled diary, so leave room for them. And the post-mart tours run for most of the following week, so buyers should plan their return flights around them.
Getting to Willingdon Island and where to stay
Willingdon Island is part of the city of Kochi; the 2026 inaugural was held separately at Bolgatty. Kochi Water Metro, the city's ferry network, lists a Willingdon Island terminal; check its boat schedule for routes. We found no airport transfer details and no official or partner hotels on the Society's website, so book accommodation directly and ask the secretariat (ktm@keralatravelmart.org) whether a hotel block or transfers will be offered.
How KTM compares with other India marts
The Great Indian Travel Bazaar in Jaipur uses a similar appointment format but covers all of India, admits only foreign buyers and Indian exhibitors, and hosts its selected buyers; its 2026 edition ran from 26 to 28 April. For KTM sellers chasing MICE and corporate business, BLTM in New Delhi (1 to 3 September 2027) is built around business, leisure and MICE buyers. More dates are on our travel trade shows calendar.
