IFTM 2026 runs from 15 to 17 September 2026 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Formerly IFTM Top Resa, it is France's flagship travel trade event and the principal marketplace for the French outbound market.
The clash you cannot avoid this year
IFTM now overlaps almost entirely with Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, which runs 14–17 September after being moved twice this cycle. Suppliers who normally work both are choosing between them or splitting teams.
If your business is weighted toward French and francophone buyers, IFTM is the correct choice; if it is weighted toward Gulf inbound and outbound, ATM is.
Why the French market is worth a dedicated show
France is one of Europe's largest outbound markets, with a distinctive distribution structure: a strong network of independent agencies and specialist tour operators alongside the large groups. Reaching them efficiently means being in Paris, because much of that network does not travel to ITB or WTM.
IFTM also carries significant francophone African and Indian Ocean representation — Morocco, Tunisia, Senegal, Mauritius, Reunion — which is harder to assemble elsewhere.

- Destinations targeting French outbound, including long-haul markets where France is a significant source.
- Francophone destinations seeking French buyers.
- Technology and distribution suppliers selling into French agency networks.
Practical notes
- Porte de Versailles is on metro line 12 and well connected; the complex is large, so check which pavilion you need.
- Business is conducted substantially in French. Bring someone who speaks it — this is not a show where English-only works as comfortably as at ITB or WTM.
- Mid-September in Paris is comfortable, but hotel rates rise with the autumn conference season.
The specialist zones
IFTM organises significant parts of the floor by segment — business travel and MICE, technology, and destination pavilions. The business travel component is substantial, reflecting the strength of French corporate travel management, and it draws a buyer type that does not appear in the leisure halls.

Francophone reach beyond France
IFTM's value extends past the French domestic trade. Belgian, Swiss and Canadian francophone buyers attend, as do operators from francophone Africa. For a destination trying to build across the French-speaking world rather than France alone, that combined reach is difficult to replicate at any other single event.
